i had one of the best laughs i ever had in a long time.. u see... we were supposed to prepare a "presentation" of a phone call... in mandarin of coz.. then me and xuw were partners... cannot copy book wad, so we made up ridiculous things until we luff and luff until our tears ran... ok la not literally but practically anyway... omg... can be quite fun eh? then selena and felice were partners and during their presentation they kept laughing... lolxxx...

today i woke up at 8... even though i slept at 12+ almost 1 last night [must be the tea i drank at dinner la...] and then i did math homework... then i burned 2 cds... then at 12 eat lunch... meat and vegetables and rice... very nice... then go online... and then eat watermelon... at 3 i went to the library... stayed till almost 5... then library closing liao so i went back, put down my stuff and then went out again to Lonsdale Ave... walk this walk that... bought index cards... and juice boxes plus cheese snacks for school... that was a little before 7... i went back, put down THOSE things and since the sun was setting i went out AGAIN and then took pictures of the sunset... i also took some silly pictures and videos of myself on the streets... i think people who saw me must think i'm mad... HAHA...

woke up at nine plus... then watch Bruce Almighty on my laptop... until 12+ then eat lunch... A&W chicken (2 pieces each) and an apple... damn full... then go out at around 1+... listen Jeff Chang on the car... they were playing Avril Lavigne... eww... haha... then drove them to Sea Scouts and we went o Richmond... i bought CQYD cup noodles [sesame flavour] and mentos [pack of 4] and 2 chubby bottles [orange and lemonade flavour]... haha... then go back fetch them then go home liao... then at 7pm we went to this chinese restaurant and had dinner... yummy!! damn full again... haha muz go on diet liao... eat so much today haha... mebbe tml must stay at home do homework... or go library and do... haha... that's all... AND WAITED... until 9.50pm... actually i give up liao dun wan bathe le... then change my mind... i used herbal essences for the first time to wash my hair... funny eh last time i use it was SO GOOD... now it makes my hair so brittle and tangled... maybe it's the weather here or my hair condition change liao... haizz i think need to use conditioner liao... that's all...

We did a lab... that equals to 'practical'... except they call it 'lab'... pendulum bob... sian... we did it in groups of 3 coz there's not enuff equipment... i did with azmeen and zan... we had to change the length of the string of coz... then zan went like.. "we can make up decimals for the lengths..." but me and azmeen didn't agree coz if there were decimals instead of just 10.0 or 20.0 it would make plotting graphs really difficult but she insisted so we didn't care... haha... so many requirements for lab... like diagram.. analysis... conclusion etc... quite fun i guess...

C: Math
Quiz!!! 25 mins... i kinda panicked at first... i wasn't sure of all my answers... then the 2nd last question i last minute then find out it was "semi-annually" instead of "annually" like all the other questions... i quickly changed my answer then ok liao... heng ar... hope i do well... haha... then learn about gross earnings / net earnings.... not very fun...

Lunch: i walked around eating Fruit Loops [cereal] coz i was asking all around if there was a free bus to Park Royal... there was no free bus at 3.10pm to Park Royal as auntie said... so i called her and she said just take any bus... so i went looking for ppl to take with me.. agreed to meet azmeen after school coz she oso taking the same bus... i managed to eat a banana before Art... i dunno why today i not hungry... haha...

KW accompanied me to take the bus home... shun bian teach me how to alight and stuff... then we got home and since no one was home we went out to Lonsdale... we walked around... then i bought chips [pringles]... 3 for $5... they have so many flavours here!! then we went back home at aroun 5.30... i bathe... then watch Spongebob... then eat dinner... some indian curry [very nice] and cauliflower and rice... then do math and physics homework... then go online... haizz... still got SS quiz tomorrow and i haven't study!!! die!! haha....

We learned how to draw graph... so different man.. the graph paper has blue squares of about 0.5cm or something... the whole sheet full of squares, so different from singapore... and then the axis also draw differently, they dun intersect each other... label is along the axis and not on top of the axis... then plot data with dots, not crosses... so weird.. no need write scale... haha... and then the coolest part was we learned how to "straighten" a curve... by doing something with the data and then the curve will turn into a straight line.. not that hard and rather interesting.. HAHA...

Go thru homework, then he taught the Accouting Equation.. urrgh.. cannot remember liao.. haha... i think it's Assets = Liabilities + Owner's Equity... dun kill me if i get it wrong... then he give homework.. so many questions... i stayed after school to finish it coz i didn't want to lug 2 fat books home...

after school LT went to sign up at Ice Arena for ice skating lessons.. i saw some korean and taiwan ppl frm my skool so i decided to join them oso.. about $48++ for 4 lessons.. same time as LT so just try lor... 45 mins.. lucky i could rollerblade a little, then it was almost the same, except it was ice... the other ppl all so pro sia... haha... today didn't do much... reach home at around 6...

wa lao eh, auntie scold me again, accuse me of lying... and STEALING milk in the fridge... i just drink a cup of milk in the morning wad... she say she give sandwiches and fruit for breakfast and i am not supposed to take other food or wat... well she said i could take anything frm the fridge one mah... not that i usually take.. she say i lie coz i said i didn't like milk.. that's true, last time i dun like... now i just drink still okay lor... ppl taste can change wad... and she said i didn't like cereal... i never said that wad... she ownself make up de... crazy woman...

Mr Wilson gave out suckers (lollipops)... i ate my apple while i was reading.. and then we discussed slang words... their slang words are really weird... words like SICK n ILL means GOOD... haha... and then we got an article on slang words and we're supposed to do a summary and respond on it.

we got our textbooks and OH MY F***ING HELL... for those of u who think i very cham, come to canada still muz study chinese... haha.. this can be a free period liaozz... the textbook is so damn easy... almost equivalent to Pri 1 chinese... just a "review" for those ppl last year, the lessons were in comic form and kept on going "What's today's date? what's tomorrow's date? what are u doing? what is he doing? he's reading a book. he's listening to music." worst thing was the teacher (or sometimes the STUDENT TEACHER) would say a sentence and everyone has to repeat after him/her.. i felt really stupid in that class... was trying to do my english homework then. i wanted to skip to Mandarin 12 but i need the credit for grade 11... oh well... i hope Ms Ping (o yea, she's REAL naggy) can get me to a higher level.. goddd.... haha...

B: Physics.. we finished up the handout on metric system, his method of converting this to that unit is SO damn confusing and he went at bullet speed so me and my neighbour were rather lost. we also did a section on significant figures.. oh my gosh.. finally clear liao.. i rmb last time farmer or potato *eh, farmer grow potato lol!* went on and on about sig figs.. now we finally clear le.. haiz.. then so much bloody homework, muz finish up ALL the worksheets in there.. quite hard..

Lunch.. had lunch with Kenneth, Paco, and some grade 8 guy.. [all speak cantonese].. just happen to be at the same table.. paco was toking so much crap.. what a long time since i was exposed to crap.. haha.. i ate a ham sandwich and chips..

D: Studio Art.. i touched up my smiley face stamp :) and made the handle like a starfish (seriously i didn't know what i was doing)... carve abit here and there then lesson over.. haha i hope it doesn't break.. i next time try to take a pic of it..

it was raining so heavily and i waited 15mins+ for auntie's car.. they didn't go home so i ask them drop me off near the house and i walked to the library.. i did my accounting homework, then math, then physics, eating my other cheeseburger.. so cool lor, library can eat de.. and then about 6 i went back (coz they go home le), grabbed my books and cds (cds due today, which was why i wanted to go to the library in the first place) and trotted in the rain (okay i am NOT a horse and i had an umbrella in case u are wundering) back to the library.. found 2 wedding songs CDs [couldn't find anything else. they had only classical and OLD rock/pop so i stick with classical..], and best of all What You Wish For by Fern Michaels.. it's a really great book and i wanna read it again.. i spent abt an hour there, reading readers digest (old ones).. and went back at 7.. then eat dinner and go online...

F: Mandarin

Class is SO huge.. Ms/Mrs Ping (whatever) seems horrible.. she spends 20 minutes saying that she will teach us in separate groups... beginner, grade 11, 12 etc... repeat n repeat... sian.. *sounds like someone i know...* den we had to write a page (point form) on the goals we have for this year etc.. i wrote all in chinese.. sian eh... so squashed somemore... dun like this class.. anyway i suppose they teach in ENGLISH.. unlike in Singapore where everything also tok chinese... blahh... i hope it will be a breeze...

G: Earth Science

Go through course outline, he put us in alphabetical order... this guy with pink and spiked hair *i can't describe it* was right in front of me.. block my view sometimes.. my partner is Jenna... he ask us read and do some questions.. then half the class went to have their pictures taken, including me... came back, work on questions until bell ring...

E: English

Mr Wilson... he just went through course outline, fill in a student info sheet, then go library borrow book den read.. after that no more liao... nothing much.. he allows food in his class.. but cannot bring hot food etc..

Lunch.. i got a ham sandwich and an apple... auntie morning give me de.. for breakfast but i just had milk so i had those for lunch.. walked around in the hallways and ate...

H: SS

talk about current issues.. then got into a circle and did introductions... Vina and Shelly were from Singapore.. but they seem very cold.. it was rather fun oso.. where the last person has to go thru the entire list (lucky not me)... then we did course outline and then played word games... like Mr Hall writes a word on the board, one person from each team is the representative who cannot see the word, then the team members muz make him/her say out the word, by describing at in one word. one turn per team. for the word "lips" the other team gave "mouth" but they didn't get it. for my team i said "kiss" and we won that round.. lol.. that's practically the only word i said out loud in class... KISS... how funny eh? nothing liao..

after school wait for auntie's car for half an hour.. then we went to Park Royal.. i bought 5 binders (i prefer one for each subject and i can always save them for the future if i dun need them now) and coloured pencils for Earth Science... and then i did Earth Science homework in the food court.. then at 6 eat rice there... then we went to Dollar Giant and Walmart at Capilano Mall... reach home at about 8.. then i go online... no more..

Mr Moroz and his handouts. some kinda history on physics... like ms peng chem liddat, notes got blanks must fill up... then do some REALLY basic things, like SI units and magnitude etc... no more...

C: Math
Mrs Duval... she arrange us in alphabetical order... i was in front.. not bad la, at least can see... she give out textbooks... it was hardcover and it is 3.5cm THICK. so A MATHS ppl, DUN complain about the A maths book hor... it's really heavy. and we started the lesson on simple interest. easy la.. I = Prt... she gave HOMEWORK. den give alot of examples. really remind me of farmer... haha.. and the teacher told us we have to do homework in PENCIL... how weird..

another 13 mins break.. go locker..

A: Accounting
Mr Cheung's english is real funny, could tell ppl were snickering at it... he tok tok tok about rules of using com... etc... then give out textbook... YES, ANOTHER 3.5cm thick book... and then give us our com passwords... nothing liao...

Lunch: how pathetic, cafeteria so small, so many freaking ppl queueing up for food... i only had an apple from this morning. ppl were also sitting in the hallways eating home-brought lunch... and then i just walked around eating my apple. i also found mrs herd, the AP english teacher and i returned her Othello... YAY! back to regular english... hope it's okay tml... coz this morning i submit my timetable change, then very fast process liao...

D: Studio Arts CS
haiz... i'm still stuck with this ceramics course coz they could not fit fine arts into this block... haiz... Ms Evans demonstrate some clay stuff.. den we got to mess around with the clay... first project is to make a personalized "stamp"... i was just pressing and playing with the clay, while other pro people were actually SCULPTING something... like a mushroom, a deer and some head... wow... hope i dun FLUNK this class... arrgh..

dismiss at 2.56pm. blah.. had some conflicts while finding the car... haiz... then go home... they go walmart, i wanted to go along, somehow never la, then auntie come back scold me this and that... lazy to elaborate... haiz... so loud somemore... can go deaf le... then i just do homework (Math)... i was stuck at the last question.. dinner was porridge and McChicken... then online until now... that's all for today... school is still ok...

today first day of school... left the house at 7.45am, reach school at 8am.. found my homeroom number, then wait until about 8.30 then go find the room number... they gave out agenda books [homework diary] and some papers and our timetable... and zhen shi de, they spelled my name WRONGLY. Luk CHEUN... haiz... so u can imagine the rest of the day the classes i attended i had to go up and change my name... yea =.=...

we were supposed to have 15mins of each class (we call them BLOCKS). so imagine the whole day, running all about the building.. plus the bell was DEFINITELY not a bell... they should call it the BEEP. coz it DOES beep. sounds so... eww...

Block A (we go from A-H) was Accounting 11... the teacher is Mr Cheung, he is... ECCENTRIC? is that the word? i dunno. juz... weird.. he looks funny too. it was in some kinda computer lab.. we didn't do anything. Luccas, Bianca from orientation are in this class.

Block B was Physics 11. Mr Moroz is balding and he seems pretty nice. our lessons are in the labs. that's so different. liddat no need run here and there for lab sessions etc... he gave out the course outline and surprisingly it was somewhat like Sec 3 n 4 Physics... u know like Kinematics, Newton's Laws, Energy, Power, Waves, Light etc... but i guess they will go more indept... hope it will be easy...

Block C was Math Principles 11. I was supposed to be in Math Enriched, but i have decided not to change. i'm afraid Enriched will be too much. Mrs Duval is fat and old. she also gave the course outline... nothing liao.. paul (we nickname him big guy) fromo germany from orientation is in this class... and just in case u wanna know how tall he is... he's 201cm. so when people talk to him (esp a shorty like me), they have to actually LOOK UP... haha... can u imagine?

Block D was Studio Arts (Ceramics/Sculptures). LOOK. i DID NOT ask for this. it was on my timetable... so i had to go there. i was supposed to go to Fine Arts instead. i mean, drawing and painting would be so much easier then moulding clay with your hands... =.= nothing to say about this coz we didn't do anything.

Block E was AP English. before this we had a 10-minute break so when i arrived at the room on the dot, the teacher (Mrs Herd, another fat and old lady) was like giving out Othello [Shakespeare]. i got one and her first assignment was to read Act 1 Scene 1. Obviously others, not me, had Shakespeare experience but too bad for me i don't. plus she goes on and on so quickly about some root words or dunno what i could barely keep up. i have decided to drop to REGULAR English thank you very much.

Block F was Mandarin. The teacher was not here so someone just took attendance. the room was small and the class was big, so the whole room was overflowing with people... haha..

Block G was Earth Science. Mr Grikis was a nerdy man, with glasses and all. but he was oso one of the friendliest teachers... lesson oso in lab...

Block H was Social Studies. Mr Hall let us unscramble some words... boring... then school dismissed at 12.15pm... i tried opening my locker... it's those long long types... can open liao... nothing much.. den go back...

hmm todae Labour Day.. nothing much.. eat 2 buns and lemonade for lunch [supposed to be breakfast]... then go online.. 3+ went to Lynn Valley Centre... saw a really nice shirt, $12.99.. got monkey very cute.. but i never buy... had A&W teen burger for "lunch" at 4+ then go buy water.. they were in a foul mood over the burger issue [i lazy to elaborate].. then go home... bathe... then had dinner at 7+.. then go online.. nothing liao.. tml school start liao! i was freaking out this morning... now i'm not.. wonder if i can sleep... haha.. hope i can wake up!! wish me luck!!

todae wake up, had ham sandwiches for lunch... then at 2+ we went to The Crystal Mall in Burnaby... just walked around looking for Sakura VCDs (them, not me) and then had dinner at... 5+?? i almost puked in the middle of it all.. coz u see each table only has 4 chairs and there were 5 of us... so i pulled an extra chair and happened to face this adult couple...

the woman was waiting for the guy to come back with the food... she's rather pretty ba, some may say chio bu, but when the guy came back with the food he was an absolute MOH PENG wearing a sleevelss white shirt. not only is the sight of such a pretty gal to such an ugly guy revolting, the worst part is when they started FRENCHKISSING at the table... not that i am against frenchkissing *ahemz not directing this at ANYONE* but doing that in public, esp where people are COMSUMING FOOD is totally inappropriate. ok call me sick but i was kinda observing... i thought frenchkissing meant that tongues could not actually be seen while u are kissing *anyone with experience can clarify??* but this couple was like licking each other's lips and kissing at the same time... it was seriously a revolting sight, esp the fact that i was in the middle of my DINNER. *by the way it was a CHINESE couple; they were speaking Mandarin i think..* maybe a handsome guy and a pretty gal frenchkissing would be ok, but that mohpeng is NOT suitable for that lady, as far as i see it... and the lady was actually INTO the guy lor, i mean she looked happy... what bad taste! oh my god. i could hardly finish my dinner but i still managed to, trying desperately not to puke.

i bought 2 pairs of earrings... black n blue stars... and then nothing else... went to Superstore... bought shampoo and shower cream (mine's running out)... they were listening to the same S.H.E original songs again... i blasted my Air Supply, but i have to admit: one of the songs are really good. i just found out it is How Did I Fall In Love With You by Backstreet Boys... well it's kinda old... it's the tune of Yuan Fang by S.H.E... of coz the BSB one sounds better... the chorus goes like this:

aHh.. today wake up at 10... eat cereal, then read book all the way till 12+... i was reading "Multiple Choice" (it's about a girl who obsesses about her life too much) and "Life In The Fat Lane"... yea.. dun get me wrong but it's really cool... try it... haha... but a bit horrifying... and then for lunch had a bowl of the same icky soup from yesterday but with some peppers added to it (it didn't taste much better)... plus 2 pieces of toast... then at 2pm we all went to Richmond (it's a place with lots of chinese people and chinese stuff)...

firstly we went to Richmond Centre... it's huge and we walked around... they looked at clothes and purses (which i am totally not interested in) and then we all left the place empty-handed... then go to Parker Place... good news and bad news... Good news: I went into a CD shop where i saw Hacken's Smart ID last time... and found out it was sold out... which proves his popularity here... wootx!! Bad news: i'll give u the good news of this first: i bought a CD... Guess which one?? the bad news: it's pirated... only 5 bucks... and it's none other than Hacken's Smart I.D.! i know they oweyz say support original but... aww...

we had dinner there (i had chicken noodles... nice...) and then drove to Aberdeen Centre... where Daiso is... Daiso is this jap shop which sells everything at 2 bucks... i bought a mini whiteboard, markers (pack of 2), liquid paper, a wallet, nail polish (2 in one) and a small bag... ahh... spent so much today... muz learn to save money le... but next time school start oso won't have much chance to go shopping bah... so...

by the way at Aberdeen Centre there was this bunch of Thai exhibits... lots of different stalls and then i saw one stall got TEENY TINY figurines of food... like dimsum, veggies, donuts etc... there were small small chilli and char siew bao oso... omg... so cute... of coz very ex la so i never buy... AHHH!!!! ^for those who dunno me, i go nuts at this kinda stuff^... and then left at 9pm... drove to Richmond Night Market... it's exactly a pasar malam lor but much bigger... they all looking for Sakura VCDs so we kinda rushed through the place... later finally give up, slowly walk walk den when buying drink (about 10.10pm) got blackout... later got announcement say wad... B.C. Hydro got one circuit not working... etc... we left at 10.40pm... jam in the parking lot for 10 mins then got home at 11.30pm... and i was half-dying in the car... coz someone juz bought a CD which is the original songs for S.H.E... i was resorting to my discman but it just HAD TO give up on me at that time... no battery... and i didn't even listen to it on the way to Richmond! so i was stuck with the SICK songs of S.H.E. by the original singers... and then later there were a couple of pretty nice pop tracks like S Club 7, Michael Learns To Rock, Ronan Keating etc... but they just HAD to skip those... gosh... and then the S.H.E songs repeat again... I.O.I.O was driving me up the wall... ARRGH!!!! help!!!! lucky going to reach home le... that's my day...

another note to self: ensure full batteries are installed while going on a long trip. [Drive to Richmond from home takes 1 hour]

hmm... today woke up, read 4 babysitters books at a go... had lunch (2 ham sandwiches and milk AGAIN) *but i dun mind*... then go online until 4... then i went out... go walk several supermarkets looking for saline... coz mine's running out soon and i need them for my contact lenses... surprisingly they dun have it in North America... some optical shop said that... dunno how la.. see how la... and then go library again... borrow cds... and 4 novels... haha.. today muz borrow more coz Sunday and Monday close due to Labour Day... went home at 7pm.. had some icky soup *got so many kinds of beans, celery, meat and dunno wad else*.. tasted kinda gross.... and then got this cute little "lunch box"... inside got 8 crackers, 8 pieces of ham, 8 pieces of cheese and 3 chocolate fingers... dun worry the crackers, ham and cheese are only... 3cm in diameter... haha.. that really brightened up the meal... and then i went online all night...

by the way the people in this house can't get along... funny u know... i'm glad they are not my siblings... hahaha....

goodbye to boredom! hello to a new library card!

haha... today after lunch i went to the library... at 1.30pm... it's only a 5 minute walk from my house to the library... i asked if i could register for a new library card... they said i needed my passport and something that shows where i was living... so i just browsed around first... there were cds! i finished one book there and strolled back... i got my passport and bank statement and then went back again to register... and i could borrow straight away! there was a trolley of books/magazines for sale... 10 cents for mags and 25 cents for paperbacks... i spent 25 cents on the New Testament of the Bible... haha... just buy for fun n read lor... wanted to buy old Readers Digest but decided not to... i oso borrowed a Chopin CD, plus a Shostakovich/Beethoven CD... and 5 books... not those thick thick novels la, just Babysitters Club... long time no read la... anyway the library lets u borrow as many books as you want... gosh, imagine bringing a load of books home... haha... anyway books can be borrowed for 3 weeks and CDs, a week... haha... i think i can go library every day liao... somemore got free internet there i think... they have special large print books and cd books oso... so cool... and then i went home at around 5...

go home liao go online... tok for 2 hours then go eat dinner at 7+... dunno later do what... maybe tml go library again... if i finish those books i borrows today... =)

by the way please congratulate me for burning my very first (and second) CD today... i just copied the Chopin CD (2 discs) and used Windows Media Player to burn it... hooray! and as i am testing it now, it works! yeA!!!!

Each period is 78 minutes... one day 4 periods.. plus 2 recess breaks (about 15 min?) and 5 mins for u to get to each class between periods... i think la... plus lunch... 1/2 hour i think.. actually take one science can liao, but just in case, take 2 got backup... well at least i made my escape from Chemistry! hooray! any comments? please feel free to post...

today wake up at 9, watch tv [Caillou n Sesame Street.. i know... =.=] and eat ham sandwich (from yesterday) for breakfast... then go online... until 12+? eat lunch (ham sandwiches again...) and then online all afternoon... i copied lyrics and then fiddle with this and that... until 6 den i go eat dinner... eat finish about 6.30 Auntie come lecture me say cannot go into this room that room she say finish go down, got thing come up again... about 4-5 times liddat... haizz just like some people i know... sorry la... so sian... anyway u obviously want me to move out right? haha... not so soon... too bad 4 YOU.

by the way do u realize it's SEPTEMBER? already? 7 more days -- 1 week -- till school starts... excited?? dunno leh.. haha... and i noe for many people out there it's time for prelims! good luck to all!!
