what have i been to lately? downloading songs for my mp3 player... i found many many familiar chinese songs... mostly those that i went crazy over at one point of time... hehehe... then some others.. like boa... her songs are nice.. =) i like her old hits, those that i'm familiar with..

anyway.. talking about mp3, i have a 256MB player, which can hold about 60 songs.. i got about 30 english songs on there last few weeks and i got pretty bored of them, hence the urge to download songs... it gets pretty annoying i guess, to change and change and change all the times...

ipods, the latest craze, enables you to hold like... thousands of songs... however i don't long for an ipod. a lot of the teens here have an ipod, but i don't long for one. so what if it can hold thousands of songs? u won't listen to them all anyway...

i only like one feature of the ipod.. it allows u to classify ur songs by artistes, albums etc... that way it is actually useful for someone as organized as me. hahaha... i find it rather hard to navigate with the scrolling "pad" with ur thumb... like using laptop without mouse, accidentally tap then dunno what happen.. haha..

i have dreamed of a fantasy mp3 player. it works like discmans and minidisc players, except the "discs" are so small they are like.. a memory card?? then one little card store all the same artiste, another disc, another artiste. switch whenever u like and it will be so easy carrying those cards in a pouch or something. they might be small and easy to lose, but we'll just have to be more careful.

maybe technology has already allowed this, maybe japan or something, but i dunno about it yet... i'm not terribly against ipods but i oppose to it.. so expensive.. i bet ppl buy it only to keep up with the crowd..

i'm not making any complaints about my own mp3 player, coz my dear aunt gave it to me... she got it free by redeeming bah, then she no use then give me lor... good right?? she gave me my digicam oso... i only got it last august... when i came to canada... but my mp3 quite long le, like before sec 3 midyear exam (or issit sec 4?).. i know it's before exam coz the package arrived then i was like controlling myself not to open it till after exams so i can concentrate and not spend too much time fiddling with the player.. hahaha...

my mp3 player is much lighter than an ipod... hahaha.. no excess weight.. its shape is pretty cute too. but dunno how to describe.. anyway it now has some teeth marks courtesy of the dog, but luckily damage was not huge. *winks*

yay i have new songs to listen to when i walk home from school le!! i wonder how long it would be before i get tired of the songs currently in my player... =)

i should probably update but haven't got anything to update. wanna blog about some stuff but i dun wan the whole world to see... but i want people to know... sounds contradictory eh? -_- oh well.

i was reading my random journals in my yahoo notepad, where i just poured all my thoughts out sometimes. one can be so unpredictable when being angry or frustrated. hahaha. reading the entries brought smiles onto my face.

also currently reading my private blog... haha those were the days man... where i could say all i want without ppl knowing... and no, dun think i'm gonna reveal it for all to read... i know that defeats the entire purpose of the blog but who cares. it's MINE. period.

i'm feeling so pissed these days. cannot blame the weather coz it's so nice and sunny... it's the people around me la... i dunno how to explain... not pms but the slightest thing puts me off.

nothing much is going on now, i'm just waiting for the amazing race... anyway today was a really funny day...

well the day started with an english quiz which we were totally unprepared for.. he only told us to read something but we didn't know he was gonna quiz us... boo... i think i did terrible for it... as i did not read and even though he gave us some time to study (that's the good and nice mr wilson), i didn't understand it so too bad.... >.<

then mandarin class nothing much happened lo, but the funny thing was in earth science class. we were doing a little bit of chemistry stuff on minerals, like how crystals form and what elements they are made of... anyway crystals are mostly made of silicon and oxygen atoms... 4 oxygen atoms put together to look like a pyramid, and a tiny silicon atom in the centre of it all holds it together.

as half the class was totally lost, he tried to make a little model to illustrate. but he only had one ball of plasticine and a tiny ball, so he needed 3 more big ones to complete the model.. then he said "i don't have any balls." and the whole class cracked up. yea, including me. ps. it's a dirty joke so if u dun geddit then nvm... the teacher actually turned the slightest shade of red, but after that he found more balls and everything went on as normal.

at the end of class, he was telling us that minerals were like cookies. if u make chocolate chip cookies, but u dun have chocolate chips, it is not a mineral. but if u replace DARK chocolate chips with WHITE chocolate chips,it is still a cookie, but it is a different kind of cookie. same with minerals. if u replace some elements with others, u get a different mineral. if u use oatmeal, u get oatmeal cookies. if u use raisin cookies, u get raisin cookies. and so on.

then someone was arguing about white and dark chocolate chips and how it would make the cookies totally different... then the teacher argue with her say it is not the case with minerals, and it was simply hilarious. i should have gotten it down with my digicam but too bad too late... =P

that's not the end. at lunch i was telling my frens about the "no balls" joke, and they didn't get it. they thought it was something else and it was too awkward for me to explain right? then they guess and guess, end up we all guess different things and i literally rolled on the floor laughing like nuts. finally they got around to the punchline but it wasn't funny anymore. still, i was laughing pretty hard....

hahahaha... still laughing... man, i should have got that on video... what a fun class earth science is... *falls off chair and rolls on the floor laughing AGAIN*

after such a bloody busy week, i'm officially bored outta my mind again. nothing to do online, no one to chat with online, no mails to reply, nothing to blog about... urrrghh... i wanna type but dunno what to typed.. just attempted to watch winter sonata online, but had to get an account or whatever, so i did and the thing cannot bloody login... eee!!! now i'm risking my computer's life again by installing kazaa... i wanna dl dramas to watch!! any recommendations ppl?

ps: i forgot to mention in the previous post that those "chio" girls who mostly love pink always like to type in that irritating manner. if that's not enough, they spell "you" as "euu", and "me" as "mii", so it's always "mii n euu"... what da heck.. and the word "worrrx" tends to come out alot as well. talk in that sickly-sweet manner simply grosses me out. i like pink but i am not that kind of "mii and euu" kind of person wh0 +yP3s L!k3 tH!$. taz all for now.

after browsing around many blogs and all around friendster, i concluded that there are many different kinds of people.

on friendster (mostly girls):

type no. 1: the loved girl
this type of girl will type in her description that she loves her "dear" or "darling" or whatever affectionate names she calls her significant other. and there'll be a display pic of the couple. most of the time, this kind of girl types l!kE tH!s. and she usually loves pink too. this kind of girl blogs about her dates with her boyfriend, and usually the boy is referred to "dear". it always comes out "dear and me..." and the girl usually floods the guy with testimonials proclaiming her love for him and how they'll last forever and whatnot.

type no.2: the "chio" girl
this type of girl will have lots of pictures of herself on friendster. half of them are big-eyed, looking up at the camera at all sorts of funny angles. then u see 1/6 of her friends list fall under the "chiobu" or "cute girls" category. again, majority of this group likes pink, and tYp3s !n @n eV3n m0r3 iRriTaTinG m@nn3r |iK3 tH!$.

on blogger:

type no.1: the daily blogger
not that i've seen many of this, but this kind of person just tells about what they did every day, and blogs without missing a day. there's nothing wrong with this. i used to be a daily blogger, but my style has changed.

type no.2: the insights blogger
this kind of blogger types on whatever he/she feels about an issue in particular. like what i am doing right now. i tend to be more of an insights blogger, except i blog about insights of my life.

type no.3: the loved blogger
as above-mentioned, it's usually girls who type like this. they elaborate their love lives on the internet, going over every single little detail, even what they argue about. 90% of the time the guy's identity is protected. his name always becomes "dear" or "dar".

type no.4: the stressed blogger
people who are stressed tend to rant on about how difficult life is, and sometimes the angry people will use the opportunity to vent their anger on the internet, letting everyone read about their frustration. sometimes it might result in a hate-blog, where the blogger goes on to say how much he/she hates this particular person and why and every bit of detail.

type no.5: the random blogger
as the title suggests, he/she is random. like one post a month or something. or whenever he/she feels like it. you never know when to expect an entry. you are always in for a surprise, as the topics vary from everything under the sun.

i can't think of anymore. besides, i'm tired. any comments? please tag. i'm not insulting anyone here but just basically stating my observations.

first of all let me talk about yesterday... it was a half day and we got off school at 11.30am... and then since it was azmeen's birthday on wed, her mum want treat her and frens to pizza buffet. so azmeen invited me and micha... so the three of us took the bus to north van and we went to pizza hut.

the pizza buffet here is so cute. not u go take whatever u want, but they ask u what u wanna drink and what kind of salad u want. then they bring u breadsticks and the different kinds of pizza to u, then give u wat u wan... quite full... the cost quite reasonable...

so fun, micha take pizza until she cannot finish, end up got 4 on her plate. then the person coming to take away our plates. but before that i hid 2 under the paper of the breadstick basket then we laughing away. the person come dunno what we luffin at then she pick up the basket i think she know but never say anything. and i also hid my cup in the triangle menu thingy, dunno whether they got discover or not.. wahaha... then i was playing with the salt coz mr grikis told us to examine a grain of salt, coz it is perfectly square... we had fun laughing and talking about everything...

then we went to the mall across the street and we walked around looking at clothes. then azmeen had to go, so micha and me go bookstore browse. then i had to go to the bathroom, so we walk back to the mall. after that i met my previous homestay. it took her a few seconds before she recognized me when i waved... i waved coz i scared they saw me first... then tok to her for a few mins. i dunno why but i could actually feel my face get hot.

and then we went to walmart and there we bumped into azmeen again, coz she was supposed to go for lesson but it got cancelled. we walked around for a abit, then took bus go home... didn't feel like eating dinner, and there was no dinner anyway, so i never eat. watched "maid in manhattan" but missed the first half hour. quite okay la, not terribly romantic. =)

then today i wanted to take the bus at 10+ go to PR. but just as i saw the bus come, i remembered that i forgot something important. so i went back and waited for another hour until the next bus came. then i went to the bank and library. i found books, did some homework, then left. walk by the seaside...

it was so warm today i just wore a t-shirt and bermuda shorts.. and people at the beach were wearing bikinis and tanning away. geex. then i went to PR and paid my phone bill. and picked up SOMETHING. i'm not telling u wat. hehehe. u will know soon enough.

and then i come home, had a nice dinner and here i am chillin' online. the house is bloody noisy with loud music. there seems to be some sort of "party" here. it's a mini-party, and i bloody hate the music. what to do? adults out, so the kids take advantage. boox.

i found another nice song: green day - boulevard of broken dreams. i really like the title. =) can't be bothered to put up the lyrics so never mind. i'm gonna go take a shower soon! cya!!

finally the busy week is almost over. it's only thursday but tomorrow i only have a mandarin vocab quiz. plus it's a half-day! hooray!! and then it's the weekend!

the play i went to last night was SUPER boring. aiyah, kena pulled along, no choice... it's more of an adult play, and i only understood like... 10% of the jokes. the story about some girl living on the street... i dun even get the story. boox. anyway i was fidgeting throughout the whole last hour, and my legs were going nuts. omg. dun ever ask me to go to such a thing again. i'd rather go to 42nd street.

anyway i fell asleep during the last half hour. oopx. hahahaha. yea, it was THAT boring.

today so hot, walk home in the sunshine i actually pespired a little bit. that's new! wow... good thing i wore sleeveless... =D

the weather has been real nice lately. finally after all that horrible cold rain, it's time for some sunshine! woo hoo!! it's like 20 degrees and it gives me the feeling of home... ahh hot singapore!! but at least here windy and not so humid, very nice..

it's so warm that i am wearing sleeveless top and bermuda shorts... certainly reminds me of home indeed. =)

anyway haven't updated, coz i was soo busy... i finally gave my mandarin presentation on monday, and it was soooo screwed.. supposed to be 10 mins mine only 4 mins. -.- i was stuttering and going "ermm.." and then i ran out of things to say. HAHAHA.

and then i had a "astronomy examination" today so i was studying like nuts since monday. and it went pretty ok. grikis is pretty evil, he tells us to study only the sheet he gave us, then he gives multiple choice questions that takes material from the textbook. aii.. i think i got a few wrong le... boooo.... stoopid man!

and then last night was opening night for the sentinelstage production 42nd street. it was AMAZING. the storyline is not important, but a matter of how 12 months of hard work and everyone coming together really made this production a success. everyone danced and sang so well you won't believe it is a high school production. i contributed indirectly: i photocopied the music scores for them!! haha..

it was really professional. amazing how talented people at our school are. the most amazing thing was there was real kisses on the lips. the most romantic scene was that the director who was previously pretending to be the female lead's lover so that she could say her line properly. he kissed her 3 times for her to practice the line.

each time she says it better than the last. then i'm not sure when, like after the performance was over, he looks for her and he says, "erm... about the other day, that was only acting. this one is for real." and he kisses her full on the lips and her breath is taken away.

i mean, how romantic can you get? that's like the sweetest thing i've ever seen, even if it is not real... WOW. i really have to take my hat off to those actors and actresses. every day rehearsal must kiss and kiss until perfect, and the other person is not even your lover! the hardest thing would be not laughing after/during the kiss.

the songs and dances were great. i'm really proud of my school for putting such an amazing performance. it runs all week from tuesday to saturday... i would catch it again, if someone would sponsor me!! aww!! one ticket $15 leh! definitely worth it!

i wanna see it again!! no one sponsor me.. *pouts*

anyway.. tomorrow still gt accounting test... nothing much to study and hopefully i'll do okay on it... eeek.. and friday got mandarin vocab quiz.. next week seems pretty free except i have to do a ss essay on world war 1. dun look forward to doing that. but basically i'm finally free!!! plus this friday is a half-day and i might be going out to celebrate my fren's birthday!!

haha no la.. let me elaborate on the cleaning of my room. something motivated me to reorganize it. but currently, everything is all over the place.

my bags are scattered all over the top top shelf of my closet. papers and receipts and bank statements and phone bills are scattered all over the room, in little nooks and crannies. clothes are mostly in the drawers, but ran out of room so some are in the closet. the rest of the space in the closet is filled with suitcases, winter clothing, my junk and goodness knows what else. my drawers-top is covered with all my current junk, like receipts and hairbands etc.. here's a pic:

and so i started getting all my junk out and classifying them in a more orderly order. all the gifts from friends, papers, notebooks... and this was what became of my room:

anyway... after almost 6 hours, with a breakfast break, lunch break, phone break, toilet break, watever break u can name.... my room is totally spotless. maybe u can't see where everything went, but i'll tell ya, only one drawer is stuffed with random current stuff.. everything is organized to a certain extent, and i even took the trouble to write down what i have in each drawer so that when i am looking for something, i'll know where it is and not have to scramble around getting all worried that i lost it... hehehe.. here are the before/after pics:

mayflower was a place full of memories.. i remember when i was in p6, just collected the results then i got my 3rd choice. all the ppl i know in primary skool *note: i didn't say FRIENDS* went to schools near marine parade, but i was going to move house so choose de school oso different. hmm..

there was a saying: time passes the most quickly when you're in secondary school, and you'll have the best time of your life. i certainly did not think so at that point of time. i shuffled my way through sec 1 and 2, doing not that well at all.. but funnily i got into a triple science class. i'm like.. wad da heck~~?

anyway sec 3 n 4 were the best of the 4 years in mayflower. i had a group of wonderful friends and everything was just so much fun, despite having to mug for o levels. then i just left. hmm. i missed the prom. must have been fun.. hahaa.. although i can't imagine myself in one of those dresses and i was thinking how ridiculous it would be if i wore my casual shorts n tee there. *guffaws*

it's all over. everyone's scattered all over singapore. some in jc, some in poly. everyone makes new friends but still keep in touch with the old ones. and here i am, almost halfway around the world in vancouver, canada.

let's share some memories i had in mayflower. good ones only anyway. i remember talking rubbish in the "hole" in campus one during recess, it was "our" hole. pity the building has been torn down, but the memories will always remain. guides was seriously a bad memory of sec sch life, so i shan't elaborate. eating in the canteen was fun.. staying after school to do our homework.. serving fake detention... those were the days...

there's my long post on mayflower. it may be a tad late, but nevertheless meaningful (to me anyway). maybe i'll go start on my homework now. MAYBE. i suppose not. and my saturday will go to waste. just like that. whatever happened to the free days?

i don't wanna grow up. i wanna stay at this age. i don't wanna make big decisions. i rather let others decide what's best for me. becoz when u make a decision, u think it's right. but somehow things screw up and all hell breaks loose. *actually not so serious ba, just a cliche.. lolss* everyone wants to be free of their parents and venture into the big world to be free. i think it's hard.

if only life was that simple. if only there are only good things, no bad ones. if only everything goes your way.

time for an update!! the planet/moon quiz today was HARD. oh well. -.- i just randomly put answers and hoped they were right. they made a little sense at least.

urrgh but i still have to prepare for presentation, study for big huge test, do earth science hw (some TB questions), do ss hw (some TB questions oso), do mandarin hw (copy words)...

but for tomorrow i have to finish a whole sheet of physics questions!! ARRGH!! hopefully they're easy. i dislike the teacher. he's going bald. wahahaha. -.-

i have no idea why i am not sleeping. maybe stressed out. but i can't be stressed out!! chunz is never stressed out!! oh no!! my reputation is gonna be ruined!!

like i said before, i dislike busy days. busy days are good for people who want to forget their past loved one or something.. they will be so busy that they won't have time to think about anything.

time flies. the fact that night falls at 8pm now does not make time go by any slower. after dinner, slacking for just a bit makes your whole night disappear into thin air. i have so many things to do. like fold my laundry, take a shower, finish up my poster..

i need sleep.. my friends complain i sleep too early, even though 11pm is late for me. hmmzz.. i am complaining about homework. i have homework for almost every subject.. that hardly ever happens. i always go around telling ppl i'm so free n i have no homework.

ahh busy life.. dun really like it. i prefer easy-going days and lazing around, whiling my time away. off to watch survivor now! tata!

the title says it all. sonny is starting to love me. HAHA.. why? coz today after school i got into the car and the dog was there, and he climbed right onto my lap. i held him and cuddled him... there were other ppl in the car but he came right for me! he got my jacket all hairy and furry but it doesn't matter... =) cute little puppy!! took him for a 20 min walk after i reached home...

anyway i fell asleep again in the video during ss.. it was about trench warfare this time, and i was chewing gum but still i could not stay awake... luckily the teacher never say anything... phew.. zzz

another thing is spring break is over and we're back to school! for once i wanted the holiday to be longer and not go back so fast... i was really enjoying the days at the neighbour's house.

anyway i was surprised when i went to school yesterday, everything went on like normal, as if there was no break at all. i was pretty amazed that i could still write after 2 whole weeks of not going near a pen or pencil.

and then, i feel so guilty for falling asleep during the video in ss. it was on world war 1 then the teacher caught some ppl sleeping. apparently i was one of them and none of my frens slept. he already warned us not to sleep but my eyelids were too heavy. then after the video, he launched into this long lecture about some ppl may study history, some may not. if not interested in video, can go washroom and come back when the video is over. he said sleeping in class was rude. oops. =P

so much homework when we first go back.. i used to brag to my fren that i was the free-est person on earth coz i never have homework, but now i do.. HAHA... but i try to finish them asap... okk gotta go!! i'll blog soon!!

the family finally come back le.. cannot stay next door le.. i would gladly stay at the neighbours' for a longer time.. as long as i dun have to take care of the little dog.. hmm... so fun there... lifestyle much more quiet.. haha.. then the food also very interesting.. hmm..

i've gotten used to taking the doggy out in the rain. i dun mind as long as i'm dressed warm enuff.. then hor, today i rushing home to walk the dog coz they not back yet, then raining. i walking to the bus stop then oops! i fell and hurt my left knee... HAHA.. so old liao still fall down... luckily not very serious la..

hmm i miss the neighbour!! wish can go there every day but too mah fan ppl liaos... now my house will be back to normal, as noisy and bustling with activity as usual... oh well... the neighbour said i could always drop by and visit.. k la it's not the end of the world but they're nice ppl lor.. =)

my current fav music is clay aiken... i know la.. he was like in american idol dunno how many donkey years ago and i never heard him sing before in my entire life until now... i got his cd from the library... measure of a man.. he looks quite decent on that cover..

i love the first 2 songs the most and generally the album music is the same kind... not too noisy.. 'Invisible' and 'I Will Carry You' have such nice lyrics.. so does 'I Survived You' and some others. his voice not bad too..
